Finishing the apprenticeship program isn’t the end of an IUEC mechanic’s education; the program offers more than 40 online and classroom-based continuing education courses covering many aspects of the elevator industry. Many states require elevator mechanics to complete CE courses to obtain or renew state licensing. In 2024, NEIEP had partnerships with the following states to accept online and/or classroom-based CE courses toward their state license education requirements:
